Rene Marie Russo (born Rene Marie Russo) is an American film actress, former supermodel and film maker. Known for her elegant beauty her longevity in the highly competitive film industry reflects her talent and skills as a performer. When she was a model in her early years, she first began modeling in the 70s. She quickly became prominent in the field of modeling. In the next decade she studied theatre and acting prior to appearing on the stage on stage in Los Angeles and elsewhere in California. Russo was first seen on screen on ABCs drama show Sable in 1987, playing the character of Eden Kendell. Two years later she played Tom Berengers love interest in her debut movie Major League. At first, she was skeptical about her capabilities in the field of acting, reviewers were enthralled by her stamina. They were most impressed with her in the film Wolfgang Petersen's Outbreak where she held her ground in the face of Dustin Hoffman and Morgan Freeman. However by her own admission she's never really been a passionate with acting. She was in 2005 when she was for a hiatus that was her own decision. In 2006, she made a return with Thor. Additionally, she was a part-star in Nightcrawler - her husband's Oscar Award-winning film. The Intern was her first funny and lighthearted film. The actress went on to make appearances in Just Getting Started and other comedy films.
Rose Namajunas was one of UFC's top female athletes. She began her professional career with amateur fights, in which she participated in various regional events. In the following years, she signed with Invicta Fighting Championships before joining Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC). She has gained a lot of attention after joining the UFC thanks to her on and off the octagon's success. Namajunas was born on the 29th of June 1992 in Milwaukee Wisconsin. The fighter was raised by a Lithuanian family. Rose was a kickboxer and basketball player throughout her childhood. Invicta Fighting Championships were her first professional fight. At 18, she had won two by submission. Dana White noticed this and when she was in December 2014 at the age of 22, she signed to fight as a strawweight in the UFC. Rose's career has seen highs as well as lows but she's always able to come out of the fight with a win. Rose fought Carla Esparza in April 2015 to win the Women's Strawweight Champion. The fight was won through a technical knockout, which occurred within three minutes after the start of the round. It was the first women to compete to win a title in any major promotion worldwide. Namajunas was able to record many other victories, including 2 victories against Joanna Jedrzejczyk that earned her Best Performance of the Night award from UFC.
